Description

Letters by Mme de Sévigné preceded by a note on her life and a treatise on epistolary style

THE ROBERT DESNOS COPYbearing the autograph bookplate ".Robert Desnos 2°B"with a false title.

Compulsory reading for schoolchildren born with centuries, The Letters of Madame de Sévigné left a mark tinged with mockery on the writers of the avant-garde; Picabia, for example, commented  Anicet in Literary letters : "Aragon is like Madame de Sévigné who had tea with Dada ". In a letter to Youki, Desnos used this formula: "there's no need to make a fuss about it, it's just witty bollocks for letters à la Sévigné".

A new look for the period.
