Fine signed autograph letter to the writer Max-Pol Fouchet, director of the Revue Fontaine :

his friend André".

Opposite the consignment : autograph poem by André Frénaud This is Man ; This poem, dedicated to Paul Éluard, appears on page 29 of the present edition.

After two years of captivity in Brandenburg, Frénaud escaped and contributed to underground publications under the pseudonym "Benjamin Phelisse". But he also signed his name to a play for FountainLes poèmes du prisonnier", published in Algiers in 1942. He contributed to the magazine again in 1946.
