Translated from the Greek of Nicocles by Mably. To which is attached the Life of Phocion by Plutarchtranslation by Amyot.

IN-QUARTO EDITION, complete with the 2 full-page etchings by Giraud finished by Dupréel and Danbrun, printed before the letter.

An astonishing copy as it came off the Didot pressesin a publisher's lace-up folder with a title pasted on the spine and, on the front cover, two quotations from the Preface and the Preface. Life of Phocion.

Almost all of these large-format luxury publications were bound, mainly to make them easier to read.
Copies that have survived in their original condition are extremely rare.
