One of the first 50 copies numbered on vellum pur fil followed by 150 copies on vergé d'arches and 950 copies on alfa vergé.
These poems had appeared between 1890 and 1914 as an anthology or in a review, but Valéry made a number of corrections for this publication.As a result, not one of these early works was published in its original form in 1920.
