Etching on Japon paper, after the famous oil on canvas by Fantin-Latour, A corner of the table presented at Salon of 1872 featuring Rimbaud and Verlaine, among others.

Painter, sculptor, draughtsman and engraver Georges Gorvel (1893-1938) illustrated numerous works. In 1905, he exhibited alongside Henri Matisse at the Galerie Élie Faure. Georges Gorvel produced numerous engravings for stamps, as well as for other artists such as Raoul Dufy and Charles Guérin.

This portrait of Rimbaud is rare, and we have only been able to identify two proofs.
