First performed in Paris on 15 March 1908 at the Théâtre des Nouveautés, Occupe-toi d'Amélie was a triumphant success, played 228 times in less than two years.
Since then considered a model of vaudeville, it has become part of the Comédie Française repertoire and has been staged by the greatest directors, from Jean-Louis Barrault (1948) to Roger Planchon (2021).
