Description
ORIGINAL EDITION with a portrait of Jarry by Cazals. Press copy bearing this autograph signed letter to the writer Gustave Kahn :
"To Gustave Kahn,
this... good memory of a very bad subject! Yours affectionately, Rachilde".
Jarry also used a piquant irony when talking about Rachilde:
"The whole world, I think, fits into Rachilde's short stories. They include: a dog, priests, shadows, an emperor, a god, the moon, the plague, roses, blood, frogs, mirrors, a castle, a Jew, a mountain, a cursed man, wine, Sodom, a prostitute, a ghost, a panther, the sun and love. (Revue Blanche, December 1900.)
A pleasant copy in a fine binding executed in the mid-twentieth century.
