Renowned for his annual collaboration with contemporary artists, Georges Duboeuf not only chose one artist to illustrate the vintage label, but also asked another to design a poster, which he offset printed in a run of 2,000 copies to promote Beaujolais Nouveau. Only around one hundred copies were genuine lithographs on strong paper, numbered and signed by the artist.. Presumably reserved for the winegrower's family, they have become rare.

Established in 1964 in the Burgundy region, Georges Duboeuf became a famous wine merchant thanks to the success he gave to Beaujolais Nouveau. Since 1984, Georges Duboeuf has been working with an artist to illustrate and promote the new wine. The signature slogan "Georges Duboeuf's Beaujolais has arrived" has been made popular by the wine merchant himself. Georges Duboeuf has thus extended the reputation of Beaujolais Nouveau beyond the borders of France, notably to the United States, Japan and Australia.
