The text In Praise of Socialism appeared in review in Man and society, revue internationale de recherches et de synthèses sociologiques, no. 31-32, January-June 1974. The Franco-Egyptian economist Samir Amin (1913-2018) explains this thesis, already mentioned in Unequal development (Éditions de Minuit, 1973), about cultural standardisation or the maintenance of variety.
