In this 26-part essaynotes"Szittya defends Picasso against critics who accuse him of ".do not paint". Highlighting the painter's analytical approach, Szittya hails his contribution to a renewal of pictorial subjects and to an "evolution of form" (p. 22) that sounded the death knell of a post-impressionist period.lautrécienne".
According to Szittya, this pictorial revolution touches on the political sphere: drawing a parallel between the "geniuses"The author insists on the fundamentally Marxist character of the painter's work: ".We don't know exactly what the true face of the new society will be, but we do know that this society that is being formed will necessarily engender an Art that will harmonise with it.
