"Like many art dealers at the turn of the century, Paul Guillaume understood that the success of his gallery would be better assured if it were supported by a magazine, in which he could display the support of a few influential critics, and defend not only the painters he presented but also his ideas. Thus was born Les Arts à Paris, a title probably chosen as a tribute to Les Soirées de Paris, Guillaume Apollinaire's defunct magazine. "
The magazine had a total of twenty issues, published between 1918 and 1933, plus an issue published after Paul Guillaume's death.
The Musée de l'Orangerie exhibited the magazine's archives from 14 September 1993 to 3 January 1994, in the following exhibitions Les Arts à Paris" by Paul Guillaume 1918-1935.
