The complete cast list for the first performance at the Théâtre de l'Athénée on 22 December 1945, directed by Louis Jouvet on his return from America, appeared for the first time. The lead role (Aurélie, la folle de Chaillot) was played by Marguerite Moreno, who had inspired it, while Jouvet played the role of the Chiffonnier. The incidental music was by Henri Sauguet and the sets and costumes by Christian Bérard.

Rare edition, nicely bound in banded half-chagrin signed Lavaux.
