Autograph letter signed and addressed to Denise Wurmser, dated 23 January 1950, envelope retained:

Dear lady,
I don't have any of the information you're asking for. 
I am sorry to hear this and would like to express my deepest sympathy.

Denise Wurmser was a teacher and labour activist during and after the Second World War. In November 1948 she signed the Manifesto of the International Liaison Groups "Written by Albert Camus, with Jean Bloch-Michel, Gilbert Sigaux, Jean-Daniel Martinet, Nicolas Lazarévitch, Roger Lapeyre, Charles Cordier, Henriette Pion and Gilbert Walusinski.
She was a volunteer librarian at the CGT-FO's Centre confédéral d'éducation ouvrière, where she received this short letter.
