AUTOGRAPH SIGNED LETTER:

"For Albert and Lisette Lebacqz
with all my friendship,
Cioran

A parliamentary journalist, Albert Lebacqz (1924-2000) was deputy editor-in-chief of the Political review of ideas and institutionss and deputy editor-in-chief at the Republican News Agency. Above all, he was one of the very first readers of Cioran.who submitted the proofs of his first book in French, Pdecomposition analysis and received this remark which deeply offended him: "My old man, that sounds like a dago, it needs to be rewritten". (Cahiers de l'Herne : Lettres 1961-1978 by E.M Cioran and A.Guerne).

Numerous underlined passages show that Albert Lebacqz remained an attentive reader who probably continued to pass on his remarks to Cioran.
