FIRST EDITIONS. Complete set in 8 issues of Cahiers Balzaciensedited by Marcel Bouteron and devoted to the publication of unpublished works by Balzac. Off-price copies on Arches laid paper with the plates on Arches vellum. The first 4 issues include a suite of all the plates on Chine.
Limited edition of 599 copies per issue, of which 12 on Japon with suite on Chine, 25 on Hollande with suite on vélin, 500 on vergé, 50 hors-commerce and 12 hors-commerce on coloured paper.
All volumes are identically bound in contemporary vellum with the name "Françoise" (ex-libris "Françoise" on the upper cover, initials "F. H." at the foot of the spine), probably a collaborator.
