Stamped "Ch. Martyne" in ink on the drawing. Charles Martyne (1876-1936), collector and bibliophile, was Librarian at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris.

Handwritten note in pencil on the back "Martyne sale, 14 May 1939".
