L'oiseau bleu is an original colour woodcut (xylograph) by Georges Braque on BFK Rives wove paper.
In 1962, Louis Broder published one of Guillaume Apollinaire's most famous poems, If I died thereA large folio illustrated with 18 original woodcuts by Georges Braque. The exhibition of the woodcuts alone was held at the Galerie Gérald Cramer from 18 June to 18 July 1964. This original poster was engraved for the event.
A copy is kept in the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de la ville de Genève.
