Leconte de Lisle's third collection, consisting of twenty pieces,  Tragic Poems was also the last poetic work to appear during the author's lifetime, after Poèmes antiques (1854) and Poèmes barbares (1862); posthumous editions followed, Last Poems (1895) and First Poems (1902).

A fine copy with no foxing.
