Twelve years after her first version of Puccini's opera, Maria Callas gave her final performance from 19 February to 13 March 1965, directed by Franco Zeffirelli. For these eight exceptional performances, which were a huge success, Mr Georges Prêtre and then Mr Nicola Rescigno conducted the orchestra of the Théâtre National de l'Opéra.
