Fascinated by the shimmering effect, the rhythms and variations in colour that we are plunged into for a brief moment by the flight of paper confetti, Julie Guériaux developed a unique hybrid technique in the early 2010s that aims to simultaneously capture the multiple impressions of a throw of confetti.
Successive inks reveal 'fields' of shimmering, crackling light, almost sonorous; subtle chromatic variations on paper sculpted by colour.
The artist will also be presenting unique books created for the exhibition: refined colour charts that condense all his research.
