Description
SET OF BLACK SILKSCREEN PRINTS SIGNED IN GRAPHITE.
Unique print on Schoellershammer board, limited to 80 copies, published by the Média gallery in Neuchâtel in June 1978.
This series is based on the vertical displacement of 20 points in 10 stages according to a principle of addition of a primary unit; Morellet proposed exhibiting the ten plates one after the other or underneath each other.
Ten large black silkscreen prints - 14 x 100 cm - and a print receipt in the same format, contained in a wooden case fastened with a leather strap.
"In the 1970s, after the adventure of GRAV and luminokinetic art, Morellet's work returned to the fundamental bases of creation in the field of geometric abstraction: line, surface, form, space...." Sophie Duplaix, The collection of the Centre Pompidou, Musée national d'art moderne, 2007.
Marginal spotting on two plates.
Publisher's wooden case closed with a leather strap.
