Gu\u00e9rin, was also a member.<\/p>\n<p>A note in ink from the former owner of the volume to his successor:<br \/>\n<em>Of all the oenologists, Mr Gu\u00e9rin is the one who has perfect knowledge of everything to do with vines and wine making, so his precepts must be followed scrupulously without fear of going astray. This is what I have done myself, both for planting, choosing the right vines for the different types of grapes, and for handling the casks, as well as for wine making, and I have found it perfectly satisfactory.
