A Swedish painter, draughtsman, sculptor and visual artist who settled in the south of France in the 1960s, Lars Fredrikson (1926 -1997) is also regarded as a pioneer of experimental sound creation.
He is the subject of a retrospective at the Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain in Nice, from 16 November 2019 to 22 March 2020.
The four engravings illustrating Claude Royet-Journoud's seven poems are minimalist, verging on the effacement: white paper scratched, pierced and torn.
