BEAUTIFUL HELIOGRAVURE PORTRAIT on laid paper of Joséphin Péladan wearing the occult cape and his characteristic long beard, pasted on a cardboard backing, with a dedication. Heliogravure portrait by Dujardin, based on a photograph by Cayol.

Autograph dedication in pen to Suzanne OrbanShe was a Belgian feminist politician and a wartime nurse close to the literary circles frequented by Péladan:

"To Madame Suzanne Orban,
Dame in the damiesque -dantesque- sense.
A respectful and admiring tribute".

This portrait appears on the frontispiece of : Artistic decadence - Ochlocratic art, published by Camille Dalou in 1888.

Yellowing due to previous framing.
