These Twelve Stations of Friendship were published two years after the death of Gabriel de Yturri, her love of 20 years.
"Victor Hugo's beautiful verse: I have a flower in my soul that no one can pluckThis does not only apply to love. That uniquely sensitive form of affection, Friendship, also provides a favourable seedbed for the blossoming of mental flowers. It was more than twenty years ago that it was born in my heart. It survives the disappearance of the One who traced unforgettable memories on its leaves and petals. It is these memories that I want to capture in these pages."

One of the copies that Robert de Montesquiou had bound by Charles Meunier for his closest friends.
