Published for the first time A dialogue in which one accuses Love, the other defends ita Mercury's judgement on the Accusation of love, and a Thank you for your love. Jamyn renamed certain poems and introduced numerous variants, particularly in his Mixes.

A protégé of Ronsard, who featured him in his works under the name of Corydon, Amadis Jamyn became his secretary around 1565, then ordinary reader to Charles IX's chamber in 1571 and around 1573 secretary to the king. The success of his works, first published in 1575, established him as a leading author, and Jamyn continued to rework his works in 1579 and 1584.

Provenance: Armorial dry stamp of the Le Vicomte family (Normandy) accompanied by the motto "Le Visconte e L'Enor".
