A bookseller and publisher, Max-Philippe Delatte (1914-1989) was also a passionate bibliophile. A large part of his collection was devoted to Anatole France, and he became President of the Société Anatole-France in 1986. His library was sold at Drouot on 14 and 15 November 1989.
