Born in Sedan, Marcel Drouet contributed to several magazines: Le Divan, Waspsand the Critical Review of Ideas and Books. In 1911, he became General Secretary of the Eastern Marches. This journal was founded in 1909 by a handful of writers mobilised against the threat of the pangermanist. Close to Georges Ducrocq, Maurice Barrès and Paul Drouot, he published two works in 1912: Some Leaves from the Juvenile Book and The Turning Shadow. He died on the field of honour on 4 January 1915 at Consenvoye (Meuse).

Marcel Droüet

(Sedan: 19 August 1888 - Consenvoye: 4 January 1915)

Born in Sedan, Marcel Drouet contributed to several magazines: Le Divan, Les Guêpes, and the Revue critique des Idées et des Livres. In 1911, he became secretary general of the Marches de l'Est. This review was founded in 1909 by a handful of writers mobilized against the threatening pangermanist. Close to Georges Ducrocq, Maurice Barrès, Paul Drouot, he published two works in 1912: Quelques Feuillets du livre Juvénile and L'Ombre qui tourne.
