An informed bibliophile, Pierre Duché possessed an important library in which the works of Balzac and Hugo were widely represented. He also had the entire library of Juliette Drouet.
Subscriber to the Gallimard editions, est was the cousin of Gaston Gallimard, and only received the n° III.
