Monograph, bibliography and full detailed catalogue of the works of the illustrious artist from Bourbonnais (Cérilly, 1823 - Nice 1901), one of the most attractive and famous bohemian figures of the late 19th century. He was popularised by Manet (artist's portrait1876), Ricard, de Nittis and above all Degas, who depicts him in his painting Absinthe.
