BEAUTIFUL SET OF CARICATURES BY LUQUE.

These include:

- Portrait of Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921) - graphite, pasted on card with caption - preparatory portrait for the one published in the supplement to the Monde Parisien, n° 26, 1884.

- Portrait of Léo Délibes (1816-1879), graphite, pasted on card with caption - preparatory portrait for the one published in the supplement to the Monde Parisien in 1884.

- Portrait Jules Massenet (1842-1912), graphite, pasted on card with caption - preparatory portrait for the one published in the  Monde Parisien, theivraison of 1st March 1884.

- Portrait of the architect Charles Leroy (1816-1879), ink and graphite captioned and signed, pasted on card: preparatory portrait for the one published in the rubric, Men of the day from La Caricature dated 2 October 1886.

- Portrait of the playwright and poet by Édouard Pailleron (1829-1899), ink and graphite, pasted on card, captioned and signed, preparatory portrait for the one published in the column, LThe Men of the Day from La Caricature of 29 November 1884.

- Portrait of the sculptor and painter Jean-Paul Laurens (1838-1921), ink and graphite captioned and signed, mounted on card.

- Portrait of Eusebio Blasco (1844-1903) - ink and graphite, pasted on card, captioned and signed - novelist, poet and playwright, co-founder of Gil Blas in Spain. He was also a noted correspondent of Le Figaro, as evoked by the autograph caption "Mandragore du Figaro".

- Portrait of the writer Louis-Henri Boussenard (1847-1910), author of adventure novels - ink and graphite, pasted on card, captioned - a very similar portrait is kept at the Lázaro Galdiano Museum.

- Portrait of tenor Victor Maurel (1848-1923) - graphite, mounted on card.

- Portrait of the chronicler, novelist and playwright Jules Claretie (1840-1913) - ink and graphite captioned, pasted on card. Portrait very similar to those in the Lázaro Galdiano Museum.
