FIRST EDITION Illustrated with 21 reproduced compositions by Frederick Kiesler, including 2 on the cover.
ONE OF THE FIRST 35 NUMBERED COPIES ON HOLLANDE LAID PAPER
 signed by André Breton, (followed by 175 copies on Marais and 800 copies on vellum),
the only copies to include an original lithograph signed and hand-coloured by Kiesler, which frames an autograph fragment by Breton.

More than just an enhancement, Kiesler has added an original colour drawingbelow which is this autograph fragment signed by André Breton in green ink:

"LA PAPILLONNE: cry of the sphinx Atropos. Work in chains",

it corresponds to the text on page 31. The lithograph is titled in pencil, "Between the atomic mirage and Fourier's image"Folded and bound at the head.

Superb mosaic binding signed Georges Lerouxdated 1962, featuring Charles Fourrier's talismans, interpreted by Kiesler, on the plates.
